How to use the generated text
- Enter your text and full color values such as #7c3aed. Check contrast in the preview.
- Select the format documented by your plugin or field: &#RRGGBB, &x codes or MiniMessage tags.
- Paste the code into that field, save the configuration and follow the plugin’s reload or restart instructions.
- Verify the result in-game. Running Paper or Velocity does not mean every configuration field parses MiniMessage.
Choose the right format
Ampersand formats require a field that parses those codes. MiniMessage uses tags such as <gradient:#7c3aed:#06b6d4>Text</gradient> and can be combined with bold or italic. The generator escapes literal input so it does not become additional tags.
RGB text requires compatible client and display software. This tool generates text, not building-block palettes.
Animation for a website
Animated mode produces a CSS class and keyframes. Apply gradient-text to an HTML element on a website you control. CSS cannot be pasted into Discord messages or Minecraft chat.
In-game animation requires a plugin-specific format and configuration; this tool does not generate that configuration.
